2025 Theme: Lace Up, Wheels Down, Let's Skate!

This October, the Roller Skating Association invites you to join us in celebrating National Roller Skating Month with this year’s theme: “Lace Up, Wheels Down, Let’s Skate!” The campaign encourages families, friends, and communities to discover—or rediscover—the joy, health benefits, and connection that roller skating brings to people of all ages. From national events like Learn to Skate Day and Cha Cha Slide Day to community-focused initiatives such as Unity Day, October is the perfect month to celebrate the sport and spirit of roller skating.

$31,000 in Scholarships & Grants from the Roller Skating Foundation

$18,000 in Grants for Teachers

The Roller Skating Foundation is proud to offer grants to schools nationwide. These grants are available to schools, educators, and volunteers, seeking funding to take students roller skating or for STEM roller skating lessons!

The Roller Skating Foundation educates teachers, PTO/PTAs, scout leaders, school principals and more about the benefits of roller skating through the Public Information Committee events with the RSA

$13,000 in Scholarships

The Roller Skating Foundation awards $13,000 in scholarships to applicants who are roller skating athletes or family members or employees of RSA member rinks and/or RSM member affiliates.
