Sk8Camp Brings World Champions to Teach Roller Figure Skating Skills
By Lynette Anacker October 14, 2015

Up to
150 skaters and coaches from around the U.S and Canada are about to get serious
at Eastlake Skate Center this weekend with the best trainers this country, and
the world, have to offer. Hosted exclusively by rink owner, Trace Hansen of
Eastlake Skating Center, Hansen is a firm believer that, "athletes should
be exposed to international trends and techniques that can give them the edge
they need."
The
illustrious line-up of trainers, alongside Moretti and Casado, will be former
World and National US Champions, Anna Carrier-Barnett, Dezera Salas and
Patricia Jacques, offering expertise in all aspects of artistic roller skating
over the four-day event.
The camp
caters to all skaters from beginner levels to elite, and includes 2015 Pan
American Games silver medalist andNational Champion for the World Class Men's
Singles for the USA, John Burchfield, who has his sights set on a Top 5 finish
at the 2016 World Championships in Italy.
"Its an
amazing opportunity for the youngsters to get access to such a high caliber
trainer like Moretti, and the camp will be something they remember for years to
come," says Hansen.
In 2014,
Hansen ran the SK8CAMP USA for the first time and it was such an overnight
success that it has become an even bigger and better event in 2015, placing
Warsaw, Indiana on the map in the world of roller figure skating in the United
States. The camp is sanctioned by USA Roller Sports, the International Olympic
Committee recognized National Governing Body for all of roller skating.
Help America recognize National Roller Skating Month, and Eastlake's
partnership with the Roller Skating Association's Kids
Skate Free program, by joining us during this exciting event.
