Succession & Exit Strategy Planning – Which is Right for YOU? with Michael Puckett

10 - 11 a.m.
Succession planning is identifying and selecting successors within or outside of a business and providing them an opportunity to develop the skills and experiences necessary to replace the founders. Exit planning is closely linked to the owners’ objectives, including personal financial objectives and lifestyle decisions. Both approaches require extensive thought and analysis.

Intuitively, these planning initiatives imply the business owner is contemplating what comes next for them and their family. In reality, this level of planning is addressing the real question facing every business owner, do I keep or sell the business? And our experience indicates this question should be answered immediately following the decision to start a business. Why so? Because every major operating and financial decision that follows should be directly associated with the reason someone decided to risk their capital and financial outcome at the beginning. What if an experienced owner is just now contemplating this decision? Help is on the way!

Michael Puckett’s presentation will share a reliable decision process for use with either decision, keeping or selling the business, implementable strategies, and real case examples that will apply to everyone attending this convention.
