Roller Skating Achievement Tests, originally called the RSROA Proficiency Tests, were established in 1939 to provide incentives for skaters to increase their skating skills without the pressure of competition.  These tests offer skaters attainable goals.

SRSTA Teacher of the Year Awards
Each year, fellow coaches and rink owners/operators nominate artistic, speed and hockey coaches for their contributions to the sports they generously teach throughout the country. We encourage you to nominate those you feel are deserving of this award.

Sissy Pin Awards
The Sissy Award is presented yearly to our current SRSTA coach members who produce National Champion skater(s) at the American Roller Sports Championships. These members are recognized with a special pin, known as the "Sissy Pin Award." We will update the winners as they become available. To learn about the origins of the Sissy Pin awards, click here.

The benefits of joining the RSA's SRSTA coaching membership provides a variety of benefits that you won't find elsewhere including:

1. Recognition:
  • Receive the prestigious "Sissy Award" for coaching a USARS National Champion annually.
  • Earn Service Awards for continuous membership in 5-year increments.
2. Financial Incentives:
  • Coaches earn $1 for each Achievement Program test conducted.
3. Communication:
  • Stay informed with RSA Today weekly e-newsletters.
  • Access the RSA Directory under Find a Rink

4. Exemptions and Discounts:
  • Member coaches serving as RSA judges are exempt from judge commission registration fees.

  • Encourage graduating high school seniors of RSA members and affiliates to apply for Roller Skating Foundation scholarships.

LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM MATERIALS - KIDS
Elevate your skating center with our updated and streamlined Learn to Skate Program, proudly presented by the RSA Achievement Committee. This all-inclusive package includes eye-catching posters, a comprehensive skills set, evaluation sheets, and certificates for each level—designed to enhance your skaters' journey from novice to mastery.

​Join us in revolutionizing adult skating education with our newly updated and streamlined Adult Learn to Skate Program, proudly presented by the RSA Achievement Committee. Embrace the opportunity to enhance your skating center with our comprehensive toolkit, featuring posters, a skills set, evaluation sheets, and certificates tailored specifically for adult learners.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Every February, coaches are sent renewal forms for their membership, which is $40 for each level (learn to skate teacher, artistic, speed, and hockey). To pay your membership dues, clic, on "Member Login Portal" at the top and then click on "Pay Open Invoices" to pay your dues. It's that easy!

Throughout the year, your Achievement Committee, as well as committees with American Roller Sports will host seminars for members, which we will post on our events calendar. Emails will be sent notifying members, so make sure to check your email.
