The expertise of our coaches and instructors, who are recognized as leaders in the industry, is pivotal in this journey. Access to the RSA Achievement Program empowers coaches to nurture skaters from novice enthusiasts to competitive athletes, thereby enriching the skating community and fostering a culture of excellence within the sport. Step 1: Learn to Skate Program
Begin your skater's journey confidently with SRSTA's Learn to Skate Program. Tailored for beginners, our program introduces fundamental skating skills across various disciplines. Led by experienced instructors, participants develop balance, stride, and essential maneuvers, preparing them for advanced levels of skating. Ideal for both aspiring skaters and new coaches, our program provides invaluable tools for effective learning and teaching. Upon completion, participants receive specially designed certificates, marking the beginning of their skating journey. Those who teach this program must be certified Learn to Skate Instructor and the complete program can be found on our website under SRSTA.
Encourage your skaters to embrace the essence of skating with the Roller Skating Achievement Program. Designed to take skaters "Back to Basics," this program serves as a vital training tool aligning with competition requirements, ensuring athletes are well-prepared for the rigors of skating. Fostering a non-competitive learning atmosphere, the program encourages skaters to embark on a journey of skill acquisition and mastery by taking what we call "proficiency tests" that show that the skater has learned the skills required of the program. By focusing on learning new skills and techniques correctly, participants not only become frequent skaters but also safer and proficient ones.
Tailored for both recreational and competitive skaters, the Roller Skating Achievement Program offers a unique opportunity to develop strong basic skills across all disciplines. From mastering the fundamentals to achieving proficiency in advanced techniques, participants are guided through a progressive learning journey that caters to their individual skills and aspirations. As skaters progress through the program, they not only achieve their personal goals but also become caring and dedicated members of the skating community. By instilling a passion for the sport and fostering interest in roller skating, the program sets the stage for a successful and meaningful skating career. Skaters will receive lapel pins for every single level they complete. Coaches will submit forms and payment to receive pins to reward their skaters.
Encourage your skaters who have progressed through every level of the Achievement program to participate in a Gold Medal Test Centers to reach the pinnacle of skating excellence. As the ultimate achievement goal, receiving a gold medal signifies a high skill level attained through dedication and perseverance. It's the epitome of testing their skills and reaching new heights in their skating journey. Note: Not all skaters need to obtain gold medals to compete in American Roller Sports events or competitive meets.
