Every year, somewhere in the sun-soaked paradise of Florida, the Roller Skating Association International throws a bash that blends learning with a whole lot of beachy fun. This year, we're cranking up the good times at the fabulous Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida!

Mark your calendars for August 26-28, 2024, because this is one event you won't want to miss. We've got a treasure trove of educational goodies lined up, including CPR and First Aid Certification, social media seminars, a knockout keynote presentation, and a slew of sessions tailored for both aspiring and seasoned roller skating rink owners. Plus, you'll get to mingle with vendors at our trade show, discovering the latest and greatest they have to offer.

But wait, there's more! Members have the chance to set sail on a three-day Bahamas cruise before the main event kicks off. Talk about the ultimate pre-party! (Check out the registration details below under Special Event.)

About the hotel - Book Your Room
Discover new adventures, celebrate with friends and family, or indulge in a relaxing getaway at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, it’s unique “no worries” vibe thrives amid tropical tranquility and coastal luxury. The highly-activated resort, beachfront entertainment complex, and 369 guest rooms with waterfront views allow you to escape the everyday and simply chill.

​Room rates are $199 per night with a $15 per night resort fee and are run of the house, which means the best available room at the time of check in. Please note the website will only work for the peak nights contracted, should a guest want to book pre or postdates they will need to call the resort directly for rates and availability. You can also call the resort to make a reservation at 954-874-4444. You will need to reference Roller Skating Association to attain the group rate.

Non Member booth fees: Not an RSM member? Join as an RSM member for $450 today or purchase a booth for $1000 without membership. 

​Suitcasing/Outboarding: The RSA strictly prohibits solicitation, “suitcasing” or “outboarding” by attendees who conduct business at the conference and do not have an exhibit or sponsorship investment at the event. Any attendee or company who is observed to be suitcasing or outboarding will be given a warning and asked to stop their activity or leave.

Additional exhibit staff: $275 (Cannot be purchased without purchase of a booth.)

Shipping Information: Items that require shipment should be sent to Margaritaville Beach Resort Attn: Sk8Expo/Vendor Company Name, 1111 North Ocean Drive, Hollywood, FL 33019. Access files here.

Booth type: Booth setup includes a table, table covering and one chair. Booths are 6' tables and do not include pipe and drape and are set up in the conference room, hall and foyer. If you bought an additional exhibitor, it comes with an additional chair.

Setup: Setup will begin Monday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Teardown: Because booths are on the conference room floor and in the halls, we would like to ask you to stay for the duration of the event. Teardown will begin at the end of the day on Wednesday after all seminars are finished. A schedule of events will be available soon.

Life-Saving Skills: CPR Certification for Roller Skating Professionals
Sk8Expo is proud to present the CPR and First Aid Certification Seminar, a crucial training opportunity that can make a significant difference in emergency situations. Did you know that a person’s chance of survival can be doubled or tripled with proper CPR administration? Every year, 350,000 lives are lost due to cardiac arrest, and a blocked airway can lead to death in just a few minutes. Being trained in CPR can save lives and ensure immediate care for your customers in critical moments.
 
Led by the experienced instructor Sharon McMahon, this semiannual seminar is designed to equip you and your staff with essential life-saving skills. Participants will receive comprehensive training in CPR techniques. The seminar offers a valuable opportunity for both initial certification and re-certification, ensuring that you and your team are up-to-date with the latest protocols.
 
Upon successful completion of the seminar, participants will receive three credit hours and CPR certification from Danville Area Community College. Breakfast and lunch will be served on both Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be a cocktail reception on Tuesday evening. During the evening, you are responsible for food - there are plenty of options available within walking distance to enjoy.

Is there a dress code for anything?
Nope! Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Pack for moderately cool meeting rooms and warm evenings outdoors.

Is there a trade show?
Yes. Throughout this two-day event, attendees will be given several breaks throughout the day in which they will be able to visit with vendors to make purchases and learn about new products and services.

Can I still get a booth or sponsorship?
Absolutely! All you need to do is visit www.rollerskating.com/sk8expo and scroll to the section marked Exhibitor Registration.

Can I get the room rate for a few nights prior to the event?
Yes! We have reserved several rooms ahead of Sk8Expo in the event that anyone wants to arrive early to enjoy the area. Rooms go fast, though!
